Lawrence County Tourism

    Tennessee

Lawrence County is the home of Southern Gospel, Grammy-winning Country/Folk, and is a regional mecca for Bluegrass. We have many large and small venues for music-lovers.

Grammy winner John Paul White from Loretto leads an outstanding group of local Country/Folk performers including singer songwriter Luke Dunkin and Country/Rock guitarist Matt Roy.  The video for the 'Civil Wars first two Grammys for 'Barton Hollow' was filmed here in Mt. Zion.
Come down to Summertown's  Bluegrass Reunion held twice yearly. Enjoy bluegrass year-round at Sue's Pickin' Parlor. Local bluegrass features the Huntley Sisters and Weathers Brothers. We are also the home of Grace and Tony,  the innovators of punkgrass, who tour worldwide and play locally.

Taylor Cheatwood is a hometown favorite. He is a nationally recognized sax and keyboard artist.

Lawrence County has an amazing variety of music venues year-round. There is something for everyone. Check our Calendar for details.
